• Know your platform. Find out what works best for each social media site, what are the features, the benefits, the drawbacks, the rules. Then optimise for that. Don't try to use every platform. Use the best platform. For example, our favourite platform is Instagram, because it allows us to showcase our visuals and words in a simple and elegant way. It also has a lot of tools and options to enhance our content and interact with our audience.

• Know your algorithm. Find out how each social media site ranks and displays content, what are the factors, the criteria, the signals, the secrets. Then leverage that. Don't try to beat the algorithm. Work with the algorithm. For example, one of the things we learned about Instagram's algorithm is that it favours content that generates engagement within the first hour of posting. That's why we always try to post at peak times when most of our followers are online and active.
